In this intimate documentary short, Dee and her husband and caregiver, Dan, share what it means to navigate the realities of living with a progressive rare disease one day at a time.

Rare diseases are often discussed through statistics and clinical language. In the Light: Dee & Dan, is the first episode in a series of short films designed to center the lived experience behind the diagnosis. The series was created by 24/364, which exists to help keep rare disease visible all year long through storytelling, education, and community.
